KNOWiNK was notified to an issue related to the Electronic Polling Roster soon after polling locations opened.
The Voter Registration file and Ballot Styles loaded to the EPB's were not properly formated. We immediately corrected the problem and worked with Bates County to reload the data within an hour of notification.
Over half the precincts in Bates County do not have cell phone service or wi-fi which makes communication impossible between my office and the polling places. The problem with the poll pads is now corrected.
I would like to say thanks to the voters that were turned away and willing to come back at a later time. Sorry for any problems it caused.
