From the Henry County Sheriff's Office

The Henry County Sheriff's Office was presented a plaque in recognition of their support in the recent Purple Heart Truck Run sponsored by the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Sheriff Offices from Branson to Kansas City escorted the truck on July 9, 2018. In Kansas City the truck was presented to an amputee or paralyzed veteran.

The Truck Run is designed to create awareness of the need for mobility for our nation's disabled veterans. Sheriff Kent Oberkrom and Deputy Eric Green were the escorts for Henry County. "It was truly an honor to be a part of this great program", Sheriff Oberkrom said.
