The City of Harrisonville is accepting applications for a Full-Time Animal Control Officer. Duties include cleaning and routine maintenance of the shelter and shelter property, care of animals, assist in the humane disposal of animals, maintenance records of all animals, respond to calls for service, ordinance enforcement and other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform bending and reaching to both ground level and overhead, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls up to 100 pounds. Some evenings and weekend hours are required. Must possess a valid Driver’s license.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, valid Driver’s license, able to read and write, have good communication skills, have the ability to work well with persons of all ages and establish a good rapport with the public, basic computer skills and previous skills working with animals desired.
