Obituary - Wilbur Alvie Sutton

Wilbur Alvie Sutton, age 74, of Clinton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Wilbur was born March 30, 1944 to Alvie Russell and Goldie Irene ‘White’ Sutton of Roscoe, MO. After school, he went to work in Water Well Drilling Industry. On March 14, 1973, Wilbur married Elizabeth Bates in Osceola, MO. Together, they made a wonderful life in the Clinton area.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth of the home; daughter, Tonya (Eric) Bradbury; grandchildren, Danielle and Jamison Bradbury; brothers, Alvie (Eva) Sutton of Calhoun, Willie (Karen) Sutton of Clinton and Tom (Phoebe) Sutton of Lincoln; sisters, Wilma (Arthur) Bedford of Lowry City, Betty (David) Burnett of Sweet Springs, Bonnie Sutton of Springfield, Aline (Rick) Jurden of Warrensburg and Corrine Lesmeister of Deepwater; special caregiver, Dewayne (Lynne) Blevins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Goldie Sutton; a brother, Wesley Sutton; and a sister, Goldie Sutton.

The family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2018 at Consalus Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at Consalus at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, with interment following at Benton Green Cemetery, Roscoe, MO.

Memorial contributions made be made to the Wilbur Sutton Memorial Fund and may be left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
