Police still search for man who fled on foot after police chase near Merwin

The Bates County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County are looking for a white male subject that fled from a traffic stop last night east of Merwin near CR 11002 and Missouri 18 Highway in rural Bates County.

The man was described as scruffy faced and wearing a blue t-shirt. The vehicle he fled from was a grey Dodge mini van without any tags on it. 

The vehicle was towed from the scene for process by the Bates County Sheriff's Office.
