Over the last few weeks it seems traveling has become quite dangerous. Four lives, all local folks, have been lost in non-nonsensical accidents on our local roadways. All of them, like us, were having a normal day when tragedy struck- they all had plans for the weekend or an upcoming trip; or possibly just a quiet evening.
Now, countless lives of family members and friends are changed forever. In almost every case, their deaths were caused by a few milliseconds of indecision that resulted in poor judgement and ultimately, the loss of our loved ones.
Please- and please again- put down the cell phone. That text CAN wait. You have voicemail too. Adjust your radio when you're stopped. Put both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the ROAD. Be aware of your surroundings.
These things, as simple and logical as they seem can make all the difference in the world. Just ask anyone affected by these tragedies, they'll tell you how important these things really are.
