Update: Two from Urich injured in head on crash near Ballard

On 8/13/18 around 3:25pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Adrian Fire Department, Bates County EMS and Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle head on crash around the area of CR NE 11753 around 1/2 mile south of CR NE 15134 south east of Ballard.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by 17 year old Hunter L. Miller of Urich, Missouri failed to maintain the right half of the roadway on a corner and struck the 2014 Kia Optima driven by 41 year old Robert A. Claiborne of Urich, Missouri head on.

Mr. Miller sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damagaes and was removed from the scene by the owners family.
