Butler man arrested after fleeing police on foot

On 9/19/18 around 11:30am the Butler Police Department responded to a residents at 309 W. College Street in a attempt to locate Christopher J. Pickens 26 year old male from Butler.

When officers made contact at the house Mr. Pickens exited the back door of the residence and was met by officer who told him to walk over to the gate and come out.

Mr. Pickens fled on foot several blocks to the north of College Street before he was taken into custody.

Christopher Pickens was booked into the Bates County Jail and is currently being held on no bond with charges of:

  • 1st Degree Burglary (x3)
  • Violation of a adult protection order - 1st offence
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (X2)
