On 9-28-18 at around 4:30AM, Belton Police Officers were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy at 409 E North in Belton on a report of a robbery in progress. Shortly after the officers arrived, two subjects exited the business carrying duffel bags. These subjects both ran south from the business.
The subject was taken into custody as he tried to run around a fence line and a Belton officer blocked his path with his patrol car. That subject was taken into custody without further incident. The second subject fled on foot into the neighborhood to the south and was not located. That subject is described as a young black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey sweat pants.
A Belton police officer has been treated and released at a local hospital for minor injuries sustained in a vehicle accident while blocking the path of the subject who was taken into custody. No civilians were injured in the robbery.

Reference the robbery at CVS in Belton on Friday Dorian Carruthers 17 yrs old from Indianapolis, Indiana has been charged with 1st degree robbery, 2 counts of kidnapping, 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and felony fleeing. He is being held on a bond of $500,000 cash only.
