From the Garden City Police Department

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you that Garden City Police Department Volunteer George Cox has passed away after a long battle with cancer. George was a good man, dedicated to always helping others, and I am sure you feel his loss as much as we do. 

The Garden City Police Department Officers, Staff and Volunteers extend their sincere condolences to George’s family, friends. 

George joined the GCMOPD Volunteers In Police Service Program in 2009 and volunteered countless hours assisting in codes enforcement and station maintenance. 

George is also the recipient of the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his service to Garden City
