Bettie Louise Moore, 88, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Louise was born on July 27, 1930, in Jefferson City, MO, a daughter of William and Nellie (Moore) Moore. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated from high school. Louise was united in marriage to James William Moore on July 15, 1948 in Memphis.
While Jim served in the Air Force, Louise and Jim called many places home, including Anchorage AK, El Paso, TX, Bossier City, LA, Bermuda Islands and finally Wichita Falls, TX. They then moved to Coahoma, MS to be close to Jim’s mother and sister. Later, Louise and Jim moved to Drexel, MO, where they enjoyed their eight acres for eight years before moving to Harrisonville 20 years ago. She was a member of the Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jim, on January 27, 2011. She is survived by two sons, James “Al” Moore and wife, Vicki, Wichita Falls, TX, and Ralph W. Moore and wife, Nita, Bullhead City, AZ; one daughter, Linda Dooley and husband, Brymer, Lee’s Summit.
