Four El Dorado Springs firefighters were recently promoted within the department, voted in by their fellow volunteers. Pictured in front of the new Pierce Saber Fire Truck is new Captain J.R. Stroer, Assistant Fire Chief Craig Carpenter, Assistant Fire Chief Roger Floyd and Captain Austin Taylor.

The El Dorado Springs Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a new fire truck this week. The 1999 Pierce Saber 4 door enclosed cab includes a 1,500 gallon per minute pump with a 750 gallon water tank and lots of firefighting and safety equipment.
It also includes Russ Hayes Memorial decals behind each front door so the fallen firefighter is always with the volunteers.
