Fall is in the air! And with Halloween approaching, the Harrisonville Parks and Recreation Department is helping you celebrate by hosting a series of events that are fun for the whole family.
Haunted Hayrides
This annual event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Harrisonville City Park, located at 706 Ash Street.
Tickets will cost $5 for any person over the age of two (Ages two and under get in free) and can be purchased at Shelter 2.
For those with children not interested in the hayrides but still wanting to get out and enjoy the fun, kids ages three to 10 can enjoy a free bounce house and face painting from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Pumpkin Painting
The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Park Activity Center, located at 1500 S Jefferson Parkway.
The event is free to attend but preregistration is required. To register, call the Harrisonville Community Center Front Desk (816) 380-8980.
After painting a pumpkin, attendees can enjoy a free hayride around the North Park Activity Center Complex or bounce in the bounce house.
Costumes are welcome and encouraged but officials want to remind attendees to dress for the weather and the paint.
Pumpkins and paint will be provided.
