Bates County, Missouri—The Nevada Job Center has taken steps to improve access to services for residents of Bates County and surrounding areas.
The state agency that provides career assistance to Missouri residents and employers will host satellite hours in Bates County.
On Thursday, November 15, a staff member from the Job Center will be available to meet with individuals at the Adrian Library from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; the Butler Library from noon to 1:30 p.m.; and the Rich Hill Library from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
The Job Center provides job seekers with a variety of services including resume preparation and job skill matching. In addition, individuals can learn about a variety of training programs designed to improve their skills.
"The Missouri Job Center representative is bringing resources to assist with job searches, career changes, achieving educational goals and more. This is a great opportunity to get resume help and employment assistance," State Representative Patricia Pike commented. "There will be three locations in Bates County to choose from on November 15, and I encourage those interested to utilize this opportunity."
“The Job Center is not only for individuals,” Job Center Business Service Representative Logan Friar said. “We also provide services to companies needing additional employees.”
