A Celebration of Life for Jim will be on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:30am at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton with visitation one hour prior.
A graveside service will be at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice Compassus, Osceola, Missouri and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Jim was born in Springfield, Missouri to Kenneth Buckley and Genevieve Womack. Jim spent much of his life in the Clinton area and attended Clinton High School.
He was a mechanic of all things especially cars and bowling machines. Jim worked for AMF and in the 1970's and 1980's worked at a multitude of bowling ally's all over Missouri but home was Meadowlark Lanes in Clinton, Missouri. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Jim enjoyed solitude but always welcomed family and friends. He was loving and generous and would give his last dime to a stranger in need. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Royals, football, NASCAR and old westerns.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Samuel (Sammy) Buckley, and Kenneth (Shorty) Buckley.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Alice (Cliff) Trager, Parkville, grandchildren, Jordan, Mallory, and Caitlyn, brother, Jerry Buckley, Fair Play, sister, Sara Buckley, Osceola, numerous nieces and nephews and his ex-wife and friend, Phyllis Richey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
