Obituary - William “Bill” E. Kidd

William “Bill” E. Kidd, age 80, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family members.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 with a Funeral Service to follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, Missouri 64012.

Bill was born on September 24, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of V. Fred Kidd and Cora Mae Crooks. Bill was one of three children, growing up with his brother Fred and sister Betty.

After graduating high school Bill enlisted in the United States Navy, dedicating much of his life to serving his country. He retired with the honorable rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Bill also worked many years as a Project Manager for B&R Insulation. Aside from Bill’s military and civilian careers, his family was most important to him.

Bill entered into marriage with his late wife, Emily S. Kidd on August 19, 1966. Together they were blessed with four children; Becky, Alan, Dawn, and Sean. Later in life receiving the blessings of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Emily S. Kidd; and parents V. Fred Kidd and Cora Mae Kidd.

He is survived by his four children, Becky Moore, Alan Moore (Felicia), Dawn Jeffcoat (Alvin), and Sean Kidd (William); six grandchildren, Jenny Ward (Chris), Chris Moore (Emily), Dave Moore, Negala Hardison, Adam Hardison, and Paige Jeffcoat (Anthony); fourteen grandchildren; brother Fred Kidd (Connie); and sister Betty Hailey (Walter).
