Burglary in Osceola

On Dec. 13, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on NE 351 Private Road in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, the deputies approached the residence, looking for any signs of movement through the windows. There was a dog in one of the windows. A deputy could see past the dog, and noticed a man lying on the floor with part of his upper body under a bed.

The man was identified as home owner, James Crowder. Crowder stated he was lying in bed when he heard the front door of his residence open. Crowder advised two male subjects in dark colored hoodies, one with an orange facemask, the other with a black facemask, both wearing gloves, came to his bedroom and pointed guns at him.

Crowder stated the two men wanted to know where his medications were. Crowder stated the medications were in his gun safe. Crowder stated one man told the other to tie Crowder up. Crowder stated the men took the medication and ran out the back door.

Crowder stated the suspect stole approximately $300 worth of medication.

St. Clair County deputies searched the house and patrolled the surrounding area looking for suspects.
