Ed served in the Army during the Korean War, training in Hawaii and seeing combat action on the Korean Peninsula. He spent most of his career working for the railroad starting at the Great Northern in Wenatchee, WA, the Burlington Northern in Seattle, and finally the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway in Kansas City, MO.
Ed is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; their son Tim and his wife Pam; their granddaughter Michelle, her husband Jacob Mueller, and their two daughters Maleah and Kaelyn; and by their grandson Randall, his wife Stephanie and their son Austin. He was preceded in death by his brother Leo and is survived by his brothers George and Jim, sister Alice (Hazelbaker), their spouses, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
No funeral services are planned.
