Larry was united in marriage to Joan Cable of Greensboro, North Carolina. He worked for Commercial Cartage, Helzer Cartage, ABF Truck Lines, Riss International, Chief Freight Lines, and Sinclair delivering fuel and freight in Kansas City and working his way up to an “Over the Road” truck driver. He then would deliver freight to Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, and many other states. Larry also restored old cars and pickups over the years. In his spare time he was an excellent woodworker and loved to draw and paint pictures of wildlife. He also built several trains out of oak and walnut with a lot of details using brass. He was a master of everything! Larry also loved spending time on the phone talking to his school buddies or at luncheons with his two coaches. He loved to eat and there was not a person he did not know. He knew everyone. If anyone was going out of town, Larry could always let you know the best route to get there and where the best place were to eat!
