Arrest made after large drug seizure in Vernon County

One person was taken into custody Thursday morning after investigators served a search warrant at a rural Nevada home resulting in a large seizure of suspected methamphetamine's. 

According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, approximately one and a half pounds of suspected crystal meth were seized during the search warrant on E 54 Hwy. 

“Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Detectives from the Nevada Police Department located a large amount of methamphetamine's, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm” said Mosher. 

The suspect has been identified as 61-year-old Roger M Collins, of Nevada. Collins has been charged with Drug Trafficking – A Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance – D Felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm – D Felony. Mosher said Collins is being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.
