From the Bates County Sheriff's Office

We know the giving season is over. But we need some help. We need a couple strong women and a few lazy guys. One of our Deputies took a report of a vehicle that ran off the road and creamed an elderly mans mailbox and tore up his driveway. 

The Sheriff and a couple deputies plan on going out in the morning and repair the mailbox. There are some somewhat large yard boulders that need to be moved and some gravel that needs spread. 

So if you have an hour and a pair of work boots and gloves. Maybe a gravel rake and shovel we could use some help. This gentleman is 82 years old and a widower and could use some help. If your available we will leave the Sheriffs Office at 9 to start the work. We are also seeking information about who would have ran off the road on west 52, they will most likely have front end damage.

Sheriff Anderson says “If you’re reading this and you caused the damage and left, well you’re part of what’s wrong with this world. 

You’re self centered and need your behind whipped, this man doesn’t deserve to pay to have your mistake fixed.” Again if you can spare some time with a small group of us we can knock it out in about 2 hours.
