Abscondered Sex Offender now back behind bars

Eddie Lee Pogue
On July 10, 2018 the Sheriff's Assistant notified a Deputy that Eddie Pogue (DOB 6/8/1982) had failed to register as a sex offender. Pogue had last registered on 12/6/17 and was due to re-register on 6/6/18. Which he failed to do. A warrant was then issued for him.

On February 12, 2018 Pogue was transferred from Webster County to Bates County. He had been arrested in Webster County for outstanding warrants out of Bates and Vernon Counties.

Pogue had 2 warrants out of Bates County for
Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with a $10,000 cash or surety bond and for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree with a $20,000.00 cash or surety bond.

At the time the warrant was issued Pogue was a Tier 2 sex offender and was only required to register twice a year.

Once he is convicted of Failure to Register he will be changed to a Tier 3 sex offender and will be required to register every 90 days.
