The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 64 year old Dennis Gentry of Mound City, Kansas slid out of control and hit a bridge before veering off the right side of the roadway was and coming to rest against a tree.
Mr. Gentry was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by Lonny's Tow.
