Edwin R. Potter Jr., 75, of Wheatland, Missouri passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
Ed was born May 31, 1943, in Clinton, MO, to Edwin Potter and Gladys (Swart). Ed graduated in 1961, from Clinton High School going on to complete a business program in Kansas City, MO. Ed married Marian (Wright) October 4, 1964 and raised 3 sons, Thad, Brian and Kevin.
While his sons were young Ed was involved in Boy Scouts as well as sponsoring various flag football teams in Lincoln, NE. After working at Isco and Centurion International and owning his own business for many years in Lincoln, NE, Ed and Marian moved to Wisconsin where he then worked as a project/prototype manager for Kohler Company for 25 years.
Most recently Ed resided in Wheatland, Missouri living on Pomme de Terre Lake enjoying his retirement. Ed enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with family and friends. He rarely missed a Fourth of July Celebration, a theatrical production or a wedding that involved a loved one, especially if he could get there by driving his corvette.
You could always find Ed with a smile on his face and a rescue dog at his side.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion; sister (Betty Jane Potter).
Survivors include his sons, Thad (Michele) Deepwater, MO, Brian (Mimi) Lincoln, NE and Kevin (Georgette) Plymouth, WI; Grandchildren, Chase & Lucy Potter, Lincoln, NE; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive visitors at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd, Clinton, MO. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial of Cremains will follow the service at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorial Contributions may be made to C.A.R.E., Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor, and left in care of the funeral home.
