Congratulations to Miami sophomore Whalen Downs and Miami Freshman Danny Embrey who each received a silver rating (Outstanding) at MSHSAA District music contest last Saturday. Whalen played a Beethoven Sonatina and Danny played from the Burgmuller series. Songs have to be memorized and last a minimum of 3 minutes. -Both are piano students of Melissa Groves.
