Carl Edwin Burris Jr., age 61 of Independence, Missouri died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born November 18, 1957 to Carl Edwin Sr. and Leota Vondale Adams Burris in Marecline, Missouri.
Carl is survived by his wife, Deborah Burris of Independence, Missouri; one daughter, April Soil of Independence, Missouri; one brother, Allen Burris and wife Janis of Independence, Missouri; one sister, Carla Yates and husband Ben of Slue Springs, Missouri; his mother, Leota Burris of Mound City, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Tevin Darrington, Dominic Holland and Jonnice Soil. He was preceded in death by his father; four brothers, Joe, Steve, Jimmy and Terry; and one sister, Christine.
