Robert was born July 23, 1948 in Avon Township, Oakland County, Michigan, the youngest of six children, to George Edwin and Gladys (Sells) Brooks. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Robert worked as a computer systems analyst.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Musgrove, Humble, TX and Melissa Blakesly, Flower Mound, TX; a brother, Donald L. Brooks, Clarkson, MI, and three grandchildren.
