A visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Olathe Hospice House. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.
Bill Renne, Jr was born December 25, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Rose Keller Renne. He grew up in the Shawnee and Overland Park, KS area and attended Shawnee Mission High School. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps at the age of 17, serving at stations in Hawaii, California, and Japan. Bill was united in marriage to Carole Robinson in April of 1970. Two children were born to this union, William Leo Renne, III and Wyatt Lee Renne. Bill served as a firefighter for 10 years for the Olathe Fire Department and the Johnson County Industrial Airport, and later retired from Phillips Petroleum Company. Bill loved his Quarter horses, showing dogs, and fishing with grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Rose Knudson and Peggy Holloway.
He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Carole Renne, sons William and Wyatt, five grandchildren, Walker, Austin, Hailey, Wyatt Jr., and Emily Rose. He also leaves behind two sisters, Ruby Camp and Barbara Bradfield.
