The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the westbound 2000 Dodge Dakota driven by 51 year old Brent G. Green of Appleton City, Missouri crossed the center median and struck the east bound 2000 International 9900 driven by 39 year old Jackie N. Davis of Appleton City head on.
Brent G. Green was pronounced dead by St. Clair County Coroner at 3:41am and he was transported to Hill and Sons Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.
Mr. Davis sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by private vehicle to Ellett Memorial Hospital for treatment.
As required by Missouri State Law the surviving driver Jackie N. Davis was tested for alcohol and the results were negative 0.00.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by C&H Towing and Mike's Wrecker out of Collins, Missouri.
This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 20th Fatality accident of 2019.
