New administration building unveiled

The public was invited to check out the newly remodeled Bates County Administration building last night. The former Jennings building on the southwest corner of the square has been transformed into an ergonomically friendly facility designed to house the offices of the recorder of deeds, county clerk, surveyor, tax assessor and collector and county commissioners.

The building provides a total of 20,000 square feet and plans include having all the offices relocated and ready for business May 20th.
