Linda is survived by two daughters: Tina Daniels of Independence, MO; and Dana Terry (Rob) of Blue Springs, MO, and one step-daughter: Courtney Hockman of Belton, MO. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren (Collin, Nick (Jessica), Romeo, Paris, Jordan, Imani, Josiah, Jay, Emily, Lindsey, and Katlyn), five great grandchildren (Cameron, Phoenix, Gavin, Ethan, Carson), and two grand pups (Joey and Frodo). Linda was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Thompson.
Linda retired from PBI Gordon Corporation in 2011 where she had worked for 25 years as a Director of Marketing and made many life long friends.
Linda never knew a stranger. She believed in extending kindness to everyone in all walks of life and standing up for what she believed in no matter what. She was very passionate about many things such as her family, community, art, music, Tai Chi, gardening, and many other hobbies.
Linda’s most notable hobby was her art. She loved to work with all types of art mediums, but her favorite was to paint. Even in Linda’s final few month’s she was still planning to finish one of her paintings and draw with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church – 701 NW 15th St, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Lunch will be served immediately following the ceremony.
When Linda was asked about flowers or charitable donations her response was “I do love flowers” however charitable donations can also be made to the Indian Land Tenure Foundation.
Linda was also part Cherokee and will receive a Chickamauga Cherokee Funeral where her ashes will be laid to rest. This ceremony will be on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. and will be open to the public. The ceremony will be held at the Daksi Gatiyo: 8471 SW State Route V, Butler, MO 64730.

From Highway 71 / Interstate 49 at Butler, Missouri, take Hwy 52 west for 8 miles to the village of Virginia. Take Hwy V south for 3 1/2 miles. When the road turns west, look for a gray double-wide on the left. As you turn into our driveway, you will see a tall gateway made of cedar poles.
From the Kansas side, from Highway 69 turn east on Hwy 52. Go through the little town of Amoret, Missouri and proceed on for another 5 miles or so to the village of Virginia. Take Hwy V south for 3 1/2 miles. When the road turns west, look for a gray double-wide on the left. As you turn into our driveway, you will see a tall gateway made of cedar poles.
The ceremony will be followed by a potluck lunch. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and stay for lunch with the family and friends. This is an outdoor ceremony – dress is casual to fit the weather.
