(Bates County, Mo)- Mid America Live News traveled around Bates County this afternoon surveying flood water in the area. Several places around the Marais Des Cygnes River are extremely flooded due to all the rain we've got throughout the month.

While rain is always a necessity to much rain can cause quite a headache for the locals. The almighty Rain God's could turn the water off at anytime!

Mid America Live News will continue to monitor road closures and river updates when they become available to us. We appreciate all of you viewing our news everyday!
