Did you hear?

A recent statement by the National Weather Service indicated that we might have a super muddy start to Summer- and that statement may have slipped under the radar, figuratively speaking.

In case you missed it, the statement was that west central Missouri and east central Kansas are on track to get more rain than normal over the next six weeks.

We checked the Old Farmer's Almanac, and it concurs to a degree, indicating that we might get more rain than normal for this time of year, too.

Mid America Live spoke to a couple of local farmers and yes, excess moisture could indeed have an impact on getting corn out in time for sure.

One jokingly stated that maybe rice would be the proper crop if this holds true.
