The report was turned over to the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
On May 7, 2019, officers arrested Matthew J. Watts, 38, for a Cedar County Felony Warrant, charging him with Larceny, Stealing $750.00 or more and four counts of Forgery, with a $25,000.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.
In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
