Montrose man arrested after pursuit in Henry County

 Robert Parratt
Shortly after noon, on Wednesday, June 12th, 2019, Corporal Mitchell Swindell was contacted by Central Communications and advised that a motor vehicle had just been stolen in the 200 block of SW Hwy T, Clinton. The vehicle, a 2006 Buick Lacrosse, maroon in color, had been observed by the vehicle’s owner leaving the area, heading south on Highway T.

Approximately 40 minutes later, Major Rob Hills located the stolen Buick in Montrose being driven by a white, male subject and while attempting to initiate a felony vehicle stop, the vehicle fled the area. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, at which time the stolen vehicle was recovered on SW 1225 just outside of Montrose.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody a short time later in the immediate area, with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Additional deputies from both the Henry and St. Clair Counties Sheriff’s Offices responded to the area during the vehicle pursuit and subsequent search for the vehicle’s driver.

Arrested was Robert Parratt, age 39, of Montrose, on 24-hour holds for stealing a motor vehicle and resisting arrest by flight.
