Obituary - Debra Dianne Freeman

Debra Dianne (Flett) Freeman passed away from this world on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 following a long and well-fought battle with cancer. She went without pain and surrounded by family.

She was born on May 10, 1961, in Salem, MO to Ronald Paul and Barbara Janice (Crowder) Flett, the second of three children and the only daughter. She married Michael Freeman on August 14, 1982, in Salem, MO, and worked various positions as a bank secretary, office administrator, substitute teacher, middle school attendance clerk, and office manager for Countryside Cabinets in Urich, MO. She was proud to serve in her youth as a Rainbow Girls Worthy Advisor in Salem. She and her family moved often and widely for husband Mike’s profession, and she leaves behind close friends in Illinois, Washington state, Arkansas, and Texas, as well as Missouri.

She was well-known for her love of antiques, the older and more primitive the better. She was an accomplished artist in many styles of crafts and enjoyed taking care of flowers in her garden; however, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family as a dedicated mother and “Grammy.”

Debbie is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, and her grandparents J.L. & Nadine Crowder and Paul & Lenore Flett. She is survived by her husband Mike Freeman of the home, her two children Adrianne Nichols and Adam (Bailey) Freeman, and her grandson Alex Nichols, as well as her father, Ronald, brothers Robert Flett and Matthew Flett, nieces and nephews and other extended family and beloved friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home in Clinton, MO, where flowers may be sent in remembrance. Friends wishing to make a donation are encouraged to give to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 411 2nd Street, NW, Rochester, Minnesota 55901, which she admired greatly. These donations may also be left in care of the funeral home.
