To bee or not to bee?

Just recently, bees living in Summit School were moved to a new home. Bee keepers came and removed the bees, comb containing baby bees and took them to new permanent hives near Drexel. The bees have been at the school for a long time- you can see the comb attached to the walls of the school. Tasty honey dripped from the comb attached to boards in the wall. The comb and bees were put in carriers for transport and the honey saved. We'll miss their buzzing around but know they're off to a good home! A special thanks to the bee keepers for doing this difficult but important job. -courtesy Poplar Heights Living History Farm
