The Amsterdam Jubilee is proud to announce the 2019 Grand Marshal of the 43rd Annual Amsterdam Jubilee, Linda Leister Case.
Sometimes in this world it takes a singular person to organize and make sure things get done. Often these people are lost in the shadows of others and seldom want to be in any kind of a spotlight. We firmly believe that this person deserves to have a day in the spotlight.
She has been married to the love of her life for 56 years, the mother of 3 children, blessed with 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is a member of the Amsterdam Methodist Church, where she has taught Sunday and Bible School. She has presided as Lay Minster in the Methodist Church.
She has coached Miami Softball and was an Amsterdam 4 H leader for many years.
Most recently, she is the organizer of the Amsterdam Missouri Friendship Club. This club is more than a club. They are the centerpiece to most everything that happens in Amsterdam. If there is a fundraiser, funeral meal or something for the kids, The Friendship Club is there. It takes a lot to keep this going. That job is not easy and this person is the best at doing just that.
She is not one to be in the spotlight, but this year we have thought it was time to do just that.
