Tara Michelle Carver, age 41, was born to Rusty and DeAnne Carver on June 2, 1978, in El Dorado Springs, MO, and passed away on July 8, 2019. She entered this life as a feather-weight fighter, but left this world as a champion fighter who had battled through many difficult days. Tara battled numerous illnesses throughout her life, and all were amazed at her grace and strength as she accepted, rose above, and continued to fight through the obstacles God placed in her path.
She graduated from El Dorado Springs R-2 in 1997 and made many lifelong friends. She was one of the first employed at McDonalds in El Dorado Springs and worked as a healthcare provider for most of her career. Tara also loved animals, especially her cat, Shoppee, and her dog, Baxter. One of her favorite things to do was pet-sitting dogs, both big and small, for any and everyone.
God gave Tara a beautiful voice to sing with, and music was one of her greatest loves; we will forever miss her beautiful voice. Tara was a very organized person and always wanted things in their place. Those that loved her could tell when they had misplaced something by either a word or a disapproving look. Those that were on the receiving end of that look will forever remember it. Tara loved to travel and we now have many precious memories of girl’s weekends spent at the lake with her cousins and a very memorable trip taking her niece, Kaitlyn, to college in Las Vegas. She enjoyed taking trips with her friend, Karla, and, like most of the Carver clan, she enjoyed camping.
Tara loved spending time with her family and friends, especially when her Nana's cooking and card games were involved. She enjoyed crafting and making gifts for others. Tara adored children and they loved her too; she had a special relationship with her great-nephew, Brody, her cousin Bethany's daughters, and several of the children of her friends. Tara had "the Carver" sense of humor- especially around her sister, Amy, which made it difficult to find pictures that are appropriate for a moment like this. She could often be seen with a warm smile on her face and had an infectious laugh. She was empathetic and caring towards so many people.
When Tara made the choice to no longer continue her battle, she came home so she could be around those she loved. Though difficult for those who loved her so, we honored her wishes, and she was cared for by her family with dignity and love. Although the loss of Tara is difficult for us, we know she is now singing in God's choir, and we're sure she will be given a solo.
Tara was met at heaven's gates by her grandfather, Maurice Bland; grandparents, Marshall (Marshie) and Helen Carver; aunt, Regina Foster; step-grandfather, Joe Huff; step-grandmother, Peggy Barnett; and step-grandfather Ben Barnett.
She is survived by her grandmother, Bonnell Huff; parents, DeAnne Collins and Tadd Barnett and Rusty and Judy Carver; sister, Amy Johnson; sisters Chrissy (Jake) Taylor and Emily Carver; niece, Kaitlyn (Miles) Tossie, nephews Justin and Shaeffer Johnson, great-nephew, Brody Moles; several aunts and uncles; many cousins; and countless friends.
