Although she and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed by us all, we can rejoice that she has finally been reunited with her forever love Warren and son Wayne in Heaven.
Born in Clinton Missouri to Virgil and Lena Krewson (Stewart), she graduated from College High in Warrensburg where she met her one true love Warren. They were married in June of 1949, and began life’s adventure. They lived several years in Raytown, Mo., before coming home to Clinton to run Terry’s Place on Highway 7. (If you were lucky, you remember her tenderloins and cheeseburgers!)
They lived life to the fullest, enjoying many years square dancing all across the country. She was a loyal and dedicated member of the Eagles. Virginia was one of the founding members of Golden Valley Aerie #3667, serving as the Auxiliary President several times, the Missouri State President in 1993-1994, and also the South Central Regional President representing Clinton at every level of the organization. She loved people and her smile and friendliness made everyone feel included and welcome.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Doug Dodge; daughter-in-law Deb Terry; seven grandchildren, Katie, Joe, Ben, DJ, Pepper, Shane and Nick; Fifteen great-grandchildren; and many many close friends and family.
Please join her family and friends in honoring the life of this exceptional woman at the Clinton Eagles Lodge, 723 N. 3rdSt., on Thursday, July 18th. We will be playing cards and games starting at 3:00 with a celebration of life and dinner to follow at 5:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to Twin Lakes Hospice in Clinton. For without their loving care, her most fervent desire to end her days in the home she loved would have been impossible.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.
