The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1995 International Truck driven by 56 year old Andrew G. Compton of Lamar, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve causing the trailer he was pulling to slid off the roadway and overturn.
Mr. Compton was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Barton County Corner and he was transported to Daniels Funeral Home in Lamar.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by S and S Tow and Recovery of Jasper, Missouri.
