Search Warrant Served In Nevada

In the evening hours of Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Nevada Police along with Vernon County Deputies executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of E. Allison Street in response to reports of illegal drug activity at that location.

Officers had developed information regarding a known male subject at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity. It was also discovered through the course of this investigation that other known individuals had been frequenting this location.

Upon arrival, officers had contact with multiple subjects on the property. During the search officers located and seized suspected methamphetamine, pills identified as controlled substances and suspected drug paraphernalia. The evidence seized will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.

Six subjects were initially taken into custody and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding by Nevada Police and Vernon County Deputies. The primary target of the search warrant has been identified as follows;

Larry L. Coker, age 58 of Nevada
On August 28, 2019, the following charges were filed against Larry Coker through the Vernon County Associate Court:

Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Class C Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony


Mr. Coker is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash only bond.


Additional misdemeanor drug related charges are being presented to the Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for the remaining subjects initially taken into custody.
