8 year old from Archie seriously injured after being stuck by vehicle while riding his bike

On 9/5/19 around 6:33pm the Archie Police Department along with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers in Cass County and Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and EMS crews responded to a child that was riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on A Highway just west of Iowa Street in Archie.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when 8 year old Hunter P. Friend who was on a bicycle crossed into the path of the 2006 Mercury driven by 77 year old Carole L. Arnold of Archie, Missouri. Hunter Friend was ejected from the bicycle.

Hunter P. Friend sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
