Cathy grew up in Vernon County on the family farm and graduated from Sheldon High School Class of 1967. She married Loren and became a pastor’s wife who supported her husband’s ministry. Cathy was a stay at home mother and later a seamstress. She loved spending time with her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Milo Baptist Church, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved her church family and spent her life encouraging others in their faith. She was a loving mother, amazing grandmother, and a fantastic friend. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include three children, Steve Fox (Sherrie), Nevada, Joy Gilzow (Tim), Jefferson City, and John Fox, Pawhuska, OK; grandchildren, Melissa Carter (Louis), Megan Fox, Layton Fox (Dee), Blaze Gilzow, Ozias Gilzow; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Serenity, and Jacob; two brothers, Layton Coulter, Jr. (Cathy), Springfield, MO, and Gary Coulter (Barbara), Nevada; nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Milo Baptist Church in Milo, MO with Pastor Jim Davis and Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
