State Farm of Butler would love to congratulate the State Farm student athlete of the week Jacob Coffey from Drexel High School. Jacob is a freshman on the Drexel football team. His coach Phillip Dean nominated Jacob. Coach Dean stated "Jacob is one of the humblest kids you will ever meet. Although he is in the top 6 of rushing in 8-Man football, he goes out of his way to be a kind and caring individual who leads by example. You will never find him disparaging another student.
And although he is athletically gifted, he is always working to improve his craft, never missing a single day in the weight room and being extremely coachable.”. When Jacob was asked to describe what it takes to become an elite athlete he stated "to always work hard and continue to improve." In his most recent game, Jacob rushed for a total of 185 yards on 12 attempts for 3 TD's and had a total of 21 tackles on defense, with one fumble recovery and one defensive TD.
