Three Subjects Charged in July 21st Shooting Incident in Nevada

On Sunday, July 21, 2019 officers with the Nevada Police Department and Vernon County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the 200 block of S. Spring Street for a reported disturbance in progress. Officers arrived and found a male and female inside the home with gunshot wounds. Both were taken by EMS to the local hospital. 

The female, identified as Terah Hallam, was pronounced dead at the local hospital. The male, identified as Jason Hallam, was transferred by air to a Joplin hospital. On September 20, 2019, a special assigned prosecutor filed new criminal charges in this case against three Vernon County residents as follows: 

Jason Hallam, age 38 of Nevada.
Donald Million, age 40 of Bronaugh
Amanda Million, age 39 of Bronaugh 

The following charges were filed against all three individuals through the Vernon County Associate Court: Murder 2nd Degree – Class A Felony Assault 2nd Degree – Class D Felony Burglary 2nd Degree – Class D Felony Unlawful Use of Weapon – Class E Felony The bond for all three individuals was set at $250,000 cash or surety.

All three subjects have been booked into the Vernon County jail and have posted bond. Citizens are encouraged to contact the police if they have any information that would be helpful to combat crime.
