Hume Community News 10/15/19

On Sunday, October 20th the Independence Methodist Church & Cemetery will hold their Annual reunion at the Hume Legion Hall in Hume. If you ever attended the Church or have family buried in the Independence Cemetery, please come, bring a side dish and enjoy in a pot luck dinner at Noon.

Due to the holiday this past Monday, the O5O club will meet on Monday, October 21st, in the Hume United Methodist Church Basement at noon with a carry-in dinner or just come and enjoy.

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Chuck Foxworth, formerly of Foster who passed away at his home in Butler on September 29. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Joyce and their family.

The Annual School Carnival was held last Friday evening at the Hume School and as usual the organizers, teachers and kids did a great job. Thank you all for taking your time to keep this tradition going.


Hume United Methodist Church News: Kid’s Klub has been going great with 45 in attendance last week with kids and helpers, a big shout out to our older kids that come over and help out. The Annual Lord’s Acre Day BBQ and Auction will be held on November 2 with the meal starting at 11:00 a.m. and the Auction to start at 1:00 p.m. in the Church basement.
