Two Subjects Arrested Following Pursuit in Garden City

Cass Co – Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people after pursuit that started in Garden City, MO. Monday night around 9:00pm.

A Cass County Deputy patrolling in the Garden City area attempted to stop a tan Buick passenger car in the area of 8th St. and S. St. Rt. F in Garden City for a registration violation. The driver failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed west on E. 307th. 

The driver continued west on E. 307th and then north on S. St. Rt. T. The driver then went south on S. St. Rt. 7. The pursuit continued south on S. St. Rt. 7 south of Garden City until the driver lost control of the vehicle and spun out in the media and crossed the northbound lanes of the highway. The vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the highway in the area of S. Thunder Rd about 3 miles south of Garden City.

The driver and passenger were both taken into custody without further incident.

The driver of the vehicle, Cherish E. Nowak, 28, Garden City, was arrested on several warrants:

The passenger, Ryan W. Taylor, 41, Garden City, was arrested on several warrants:

Probation Violation – Domestic Assault Cass County $2500.00
Failure to Appear – Fail to Obey/Resist Officer Clinton, MO $500.00
Failure to Appear – Obstruction X2 Pleasant Hill $300.00
Moving Traffic Violations Peculiar $50.00

Charges related to this incident are pending. Both subject are currently in custody at the Cass County Jail.
