Child injured when vehicle crashed into Belton home

On 11-14-19 at around 8:15 pm, Belton Police and Fire were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Colbern on a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a home.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the driver had fled on foot. An 8 year old child inside the home was injured and transported to a local hospital by Belton EMS.

The suspected driver was taken into custody a short distance away. The crash is being investigated by the Belton Police Traffic Division. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has pertinent information is asked to call the Belton Police Traffic Division at 816-331-5522.
