Clinton Missouri Fire Chief Announces Retirement After 46 Years of Service

Clinton, Missouri Fire Chief Leo Huff is pleased to announce his retirement on December 20, 2019 after 46 years with the department.

Chief Huff began his career on October 14, 1973 as a full-time firefighter for the Clinton Fire Department. During his time in the fire service he served the department as Driver/Operator, Lieutenant, Inspector, Training Officer, Assistant Chief, as well as Fire Chief.

Chief Huff assumed his role as Fire Chief on May 20, 2009. Part of his plan also created funding to reinstate the department’s Deputy Chief position and provide funds for training and personal protective equipment.

The City of Clinton and the Clinton Fire Department wish Chief Huff the very best with his retirement. A retirement ceremony will be held at Clinton Fire Headquarters (301 South Washington Street) on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00pm.
